Kas and Kalkan
Kas, a small town on the west coast of Antalya, is nestled between the mountains and the turquoise waters of the Mediterranean. The town has a calm atmosphere, both locals and visitors enjoy the sun and the sea in one of the many cafes by the sea.
Kalkan on the other hand, has a more luxurious feel. The town's harbor is filled with yachts and sailboats, and its narrow streets are lined with upscale restaurants and boutique shops. However, despite its luxury amenities, Kalkan retains its traditional Turkish charm with its Ottoman and Greek style houses and a friendly, welcoming atmosphere.
One of the highlights of the area is to explore the Lycian Way, a long-distance hiking trail that winds along the coastline and through the mountains. The trail starts from Fethiye and passes both Kas and Kalkan, offering breathaking views of the sea and the surrounding countryside.
But the most important feature for our region is its people. From the smiling people in Kas and Kalkan and the friendly locals who greet you with a smile and cup of tea, from a delicious seafood dinner to the people you meet on the way, they make you feel like part of a warm and welcoming community.
If you're looking for a more intimate, unconventional experience in Antalya, we highly recommend visiting Kas and Kalkan. These two areas may be small, but they are filled with friendly people who are eager to share their beauty, charm and friendliness with you.
